I got these pants for a camping trip im going to in the snow and i made sure to read the previous reviews that were pretty helpful, im a size 9 in jeans so i ordered a large, however when i received them i found them floating off in my waist i had to fold the top over and tie the string to old them up, i guess it all depends on the body type. They were fine on the hips just loose on the waist but beside that, they are really warm and comfy. And as for the lenght i am 5'7 i usually have trouble finding pants long enough for my legs, but these pants were just fine on me and not high waters.
