I recently needed to replace some badly worn foam boots that I had been using for Taekwondo and wanted something simple to put and and that would give me more flexibility for movement, kicking and defense against counter or initial kicks. These pads are the real deal. Not only can I move around much quicker and strike with roundhouses, back kicks, side kicks, etc., but once you wear them a few times, they no longer feel like they are there. It's literally like moving around with just your bare legs and feet. That's just how light they are. The other advantage over the foam boots are that your kicks will be packed with more power because the foam is not an issue here. The padding on these pads lets you transfer a great deal more of your kick, just like if you were wearing soccer shoes for soccer.
